Jimat Development Consultants has been invited to bid for the project: "Developing a Medium-term Plan for the Farm Input Subsidy Programme".
As such we are looking for candidates for fill three Key Experts for this mission. The experts should have the following requested expertise:
Team Leader (Category II)
- At least a Masters Degree or equivalent in agricultural economics or a similar relevant discipline;
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in food security and agriculture related projects/programmes in developing countries;
- Proven experience with the successful design of input subsidy programmes;
- Previous experience in the design of agricultural and/or food security programmes for a major donor, preferably the European Commission, is essential;
- Experience working in SADC/sub-Saharan Africa;
- Experience with input market development is an added advantage.
Agriculturalist/Agronomist (Category III)
· At least a Masters Degree or equivalent in agriculture, agronomy, farm management or a similar relevant discipline;
· At least 3 years of relevant experience in technology development and dissemination, productivity growth in smallholder grain based farming systems in developing countries;
· Proven experience with the design of input subsidy programmes is an advantage.
Finance and Budgeting Specialist (Category III)
- A Masters Degree or equivalent in financial management and/or accounting, with proven experience in budget development and management.
- At least 3 year of experience with the design and management of agricultural budgets, with a preference for skills in linking government and donor budgets in a medium term plan.
- Experience with diagnosing government administrative (accounting, procurement, planning) systems is an added advantage.
