Jacob Kandayi – Project Management Consultant

Master of Science Degree in Development Studies, Special Honors Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Executive Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation and Bachelor of Science (honours) degree in Public Administration.

Jacob’s areas of expertise include monitoring and evaluation and research. He has worked in a myriad of thematic sectors including Gender, HIV and AIDS, RMNCH, SRHR, Social Protection, Education, Child Protection, Resilience, Land Governance and Agriculture and Food Security. He has managed country based and complex multi-country assignments for multi-lateral institutions such as USAID and several local and international NGOs. Jacob is currently managing the Supervision of works contract for IFAD Small Scale Irrigation Programme funded by IFAD under Jimat Development Consultant. He was involved in various assignments for different clients which includes but not limited to UNICEF, WFP, UNESCO, UNWOMEN, UNFPA, FAO, EU, and other organizations .He has more than 10 years in qualitative and qualitative, policy formulation, workshop facilitation, strategic planning in Emergency Preparedness and Response and the Disaster Risk Reduction thematic areas strategic plans, Programme Design & Management, Climate Adaptation and Resilience and Gender mainstreaming. He has worked in several countries across
the globe.

MA in Development from the Midlands State University and over a decade of experience as a development consultant. His areas of expertise include monitoring and evaluation and research. He has worked in a myriad of thematic sectors including Gender, HIV and AIDS, RMNCH, SRHR,T Social Protection, Education, Child Protection, Resilience, Land Governance and Agriculture and Food Security. He has managed country based and complex multi-country assignments for multi-lateral institutions such as GIZ and several local and international NGOs. Tichaona managed the development of the country profiles on Small scale farmers and Pastoralism of nine countries in Africa namely Egypt, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, South Africa, South Sudan, Tunisia, Burkina Faso and Ethiopia. This assignment was commissioned by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

Implementation, monitoring and evaluation experience encompasses food and nutrition security, livelihoods, water, sanitation & hygiene, social & cash transfers.
